Sunday, May 19

Day of Pentecost
9:30 & 11am. Wear the colors of fire (red, orange, yellow, white) to worship this Sunday as we celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit. Children are invited to wave ribbon streamers in our “Parade of Fire.”

Sunday, May 19

Children’s Fishing Derby
4-6pm at the Bailey home on Lake Windward. Children (age 3 through 5th grade) and their families are invited for fishing fun, food and prizes on the shores of Lake Windward. Bring your fishing rod and a life jacket if you have them. All kids must be accompanied by a parent. Sign up in Realm.

Tuesday, May 21

Prayer Shawl Knitting Group
11am-12pm in the lower church lobby near the office. Beginning knitters and crocheters are welcome to join this group who enjoy fellowship monthly while making prayers shawls to share with members of the congregation in celebration, support or sympathy as gifts of love from the church. Sunday, May 26

EPIC Worship & Meal
5:30-6:15pm in the Sanctuary. Come as you are for APC’s new, casual evening service which features engaging worship music, imagery and group participation. There is a Play n’ Pray area for kids in the sanctuary. All are welcome!  Stay for a Fellowship Meal after the service ($5).

“Life Goes On” Lunch
12:00pm in Fellowship Hall. Bring a sack lunch and enjoy fellowship with other APC women who are widows.

Wednesday, May 29

Trivia Night
7:00pm at Central City Tavern in downtown Alpharetta. Come help APC’s Freebirds (empty nesters) take on the YA-YA’s (young adults) in Team Trivia. Look for a sign up in the “Good News” e-newsletter.

Saturday, June 1

Elder Care Support Group
10-11:30am in Fellowship Hall. If you care for an elderly loved one, join us to share stories, support and resources. Contact Martha Frutchey.

Monday, June 3

APC Book Club
6:00pm in Room 205. All readers are welcome to join our discussion of “An Hour Before Daylight: Memories of a Rural Boyhood” by Jimmy Carter. View our 2024 reading list and meeting schedule on our Small Groups page.

Men’s Prayer Breakfast
8-9am in Fellowship Hall. All men of APC are invited to join Dr. Ollie Wagner for a full breakfast, fellowship and time for a brief message and prayer. Contact Ollie.

“The Secret Garden” by ACT1 Theater
Fridays/Saturdays at 7:30pm; Sundays at 2pm in APC’s Theater. Tickets at act1theater.org. This enchanting classic of children’s literature is reimagined in brilliant musical style.  Orphaned in India, 11-year-old Mary Lennox retuhttp://act1theater.orgrns to Yorkshire to live with her embittered, reclusive uncle Archibald and his disabled son Colin. The estate’s many wonders include a magic garden which beckons the children with haunting melodies and the “Dreamers,” spirits from Mary’s past who guide her through her new life, dramatizing The Secret Garden‘s compelling tale of forgiveness and renewal.

June 16-21

Middle School “CROSS” Mission Trip
APC’s middle school youth will travel to Charlotte, NC, to spend a week helping with up to eight urban ministries through Myers Park Presbyterian Church. Ministry sites include serving people who are hungry, homeless, elderly, and children.

June 30-July 6

High School Mission Trip
APC’s high school youth will travel to New Bern, NC, to serve with Craven County Disaster Recovery Alliance, rebuilding hurricane-damaged homes.

July 8-12

“Camp Firelight” Vacation Bible School
It’s the best week of summer for kids in rising Kindergarten through 5th grade as they enjoy fun and games, arts and crafts, science, music, drama and Bible stories—-all focused on God’s love.
